The Early Career
Trish commenced her career in Rotorua with Tourism Rotorua Marketing, the regional tourism organisation for the region.

She led tourism delegations overseas to countries such as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and the United States.
In 1997 Trish joined the marketing department at Rainbow Springs and Farm Show, also in Rotorua. At that time the company was owned by Shotover Jet Ltd, then a publicly listed company (now owned by Ngai Tahu Tourism). The focus of Trish's energies were on the growing Asian markets which delivered significant business to both the Springs and Farm show products.
